Design Statement

In 1999 the Society started a
project to create a Village Design Statement (VDS) under a programme
initiated by the Countryside Commission, now subsumed into the Countryside
Agency . The aim of
the VDS is to provide guidance and insight for local planning authorities ( West Oxfordshire District Council and Oxfordshire
County Council ) when considering applications for development. The
project was supported by Eynsham Parish Council and the VDS was submitted to
West Oxfordshire District Council in August 2001. You can view or download it
